What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are a popular service that involves attaching synthetic fibers to a person's natural eyelashes to enhance length, curl, and fullness.
These extensions are individually applied to each natural eyelash using a semi-permanent medical grade adhesive.

Eyelash extensions can last upwards of 3 to 4 weeks. I know, how freaking amazing is that! Because this is a service that requires maintenance, it is not advised to go past your 3 week mark before scheduling a fill in service due to the natural lash growth cycle. Client lash retention heavily relies on at-home aftercare (i.e cleansing and brushing your lashes).
Feel free to ask your lash artist what the best aftercare routine is for you and your lifestyle! ♡

Fill ins are very important for keeping your lashes looking gorgeous and healthy. Each person has around 120+ lashes per eye that each shed and grow on their own cycle. About 3-5 natural lashes shed each day, and without regular fill ins, empty gaps of missing extensions can appear. When eyelash extensions grow out they can twist or weigh down your natural lashes, causing you discomfort.
Take care of your investment by booking your fill ins. Your lashes and lash artist will appreciate it! ♡

Washing your lashes is SUPER easy and requires 4 steps. Luckily, you can do this at the sink or in the shower. Gather the following: lash cleanser, cleansing brush, lash wand, syringe bottle, mini fan, and a face towel.
Step 1: Pump cleanser onto your closed eyelid, ensuring it's for eyelash extensions only. My new clients get a free bottle with their first appointment! 😘
Step 2: Use the lash brush to gently stroke your lashes downward as well as in a circular motion targeting the top and bottom of the lash line. When done wipe off any excess soap with the brush.
Step 3: Hold the towel under your eye, then rinse your lashes with the syringe bottle to remove the soap. Ensure there's no makeup residue. Repeat on the other eye!
Step 4: Use the mini fan and lash wand to brush and dry your lashes. If you don’t have a mini fan, no biggie! Just pat the lashes with your face towel, let them air dry and brush them out. All done!
Btw it's totally normal for some lashes to shed during a cleanse! It’s a refresher for your lashes. ♡

Lash retention is 60% artist and 40% client aftercare. To improve retention, follow these top aftercare tips:
Wash your lashes at least once daily, or twice if you have an extremely active lifestyle. Cleansing after sweating, swimming, or even crying is also important for lash maintenance.
Brush your lashes twice daily to fluff them and catch any stragglers.
Rough housing your lashes can weaken the adhesives bond to the natural lash. Be gentle with your lashes to prevent premature fallout.
Pre-book your next appointment to save money and ensure timely maintenance, preventing messy lashes and unexpected costs.
These tips are sure to increase eyelash extension retention by at least a week ♡

By booking a removal with a professional love! It is NEVER encouraged to remove your eyelash extensions at home, especially when they’ve been professionally applied by a lash artist.
Lash extension adhesive is semi-permanent and vastly different from DIY lash extension adhesive. For this reason it is super important to seek professional help with an eyelash extension removal.
